According to sources who spoke with Football Insider, West Ham star Mohammed Kudus is high on Al Nassr's wish list ahead of the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old has been lined up as a backup option to Brighton star Kaoru Mitoma – who is the top choice for Cristiano Ronaldo’s club in the Middle East.

Al Nassr saw bids rejected for Mitoma, 27, in January but are ready to return with a new move this summer.

The Saudi Pro League team has Kudus on their list of definitive targets and is aware that Brighton could bargain hard. Al Nassr selects Kudus as an alternative to Mitoma. It has been widely reported that Saudi sides will have to pay a £120million release clause to West Ham in order to prise him away from the London Stadium.

Premier League teams would only have to pay £85 million for this price tag. Kudus is a key player for West Ham, but the Irons have had a difficult season that saw them fire Julen Lopetegui and hire Graham Potter in January. Number of Appearances (Starts): 30 Minutes Played 2372

Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax for a fee of around £38 million, including add-ons. His contract with the Hammers runs until June 2028. The 42-cap Ghanaian international has scored 11 goals in 60 Premier League appearances but will not participate in the Africa Cup of Nations later this year.

Potter demands big West Ham backing

After a disappointing start at West Ham, Potter wants to be heavily backed in the summer transfer market, according to Football Insider on April 14. The former Chelsea boss, who signed a contract with the Irons that will last until June 2027, will have time to improve the new campaign's results before his future is in doubt. West Ham sit 17th in the Premier League table after collapsing to draw 1-1 at home against already-relegated Southampton on Saturday (19 April).
