The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have successfully foiled a planned attack by armed gunmen in the conflict-prone town of Bawku, located in the Upper East Region of Ghana. The swift response by security forces not only prevented a potentially deadly incident but also led to the seizure of a cache of weapons believed to be intended for the attack.
According to a statement released by the GAF on Tuesday, the incident occurred during a patrol operation in the Bawku township.
