Manchester United have identified Napoli’s Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as their primary attacking reinforcement this summer, according to The Mirror. The 26-year-old, currently on loan at Galatasaray, has long been admired for his physicality and goal-scoring prowess. However, the Red Devils face stiff competition for other targets, including Wolves’ Brazilian forward Matheus Cunha.

United are reportedly exploring a structured payment plan to meet Cunha’s £62.5 million release clause, with Wolves open to negotiating instalments (The Telegraph). But Arsenal, Newcastle, and Nottingham Forest have also entered the race, making the pursuit highly competitive (TalkSport).

Meanwhile, Aston Villa appear poised to secure a coup by beating Arsenal and Manchester City to the signing of Rosenborg’s 18-year-old Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan (The Times). The highly rated youngster has impressed at both club and U21 international level, marking him as one of Europe’s brightest prospects.

Midfield and Defensive Reinforcements in High Demand

Manchester United are also eyeing Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap, with plans to activate his £30 million release clause (Daily Mail). The 22-year-old English striker has shown promise in the Championship and could provide depth in attack.

Elsewhere, Tottenham’s managerial situation remains uncertain, with reports suggesting Ange Postecoglou could depart even if Spurs secure Europa League success (The Telegraph). Potential successors include Bournemouth’s Andoni Iraola, Fulham’s Marco Silva, and Burnley’s Scott Parker (Daily Mail).

Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly held talks with Manchester City over a deal for 22-year-old English midfielder James McAtee (*Florian Plettenberg*), while Leicester City are considering Lee Carsley, Danny Rohl, and Russell Martin as replacements should they part ways with Ruud van Nistelrooy (Sky Sports).

Goalkeeper Battle Heats Up

Chelsea have joined Manchester United in the race for Porto’s Diogo Costa, with the 25-year-old Portuguese goalkeeper emerging as a top target (TeamTalk). Manchester City are also monitoring Costa as a potential successor to Ederson, who is in talks with Saudi Arabian clubs (Florian Plettenberg).

European Clubs Scout Emerging Talent

Newcastle are tracking Strasbourg’s Dutch forward Emanuel Emegha (L’Équipe), while Everton face competition from Juventus, Atlético Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen for Feyenoord’s Slovakian defender David Hancko (TuttomercatoWeb).

In Saudi Arabia, Al-Nassr have set their sights on West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus (Football Insider), while Al-Hilal are keen on Barcelona’s Brazilian winger Raphinha (Sport).

Young Prospects Attract Premier League Interest

Nottingham Forest are reportedly monitoring Celtic’s 15-year-old Scottish defender Dara Jikiemi (Football Insider), while Manchester City, Liverpool, and Arsenal are all tracking Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, valued at around £103 million (Caught Offside).

Real Madrid are also in the mix, targeting Bournemouth’s Spanish defender Dean Huijsen (AS).

Rashford’s Future in Question

Tottenham could make a move for Marcus Rashford if Aston Villa opt against making his loan from Manchester United permanent (Football Transfers). Additionally, United are reportedly considering Newcastle’s Bruno Guimarães and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton as midfield reinforcements (TeamTalk).

With the summer transfer window heating up, several high-profile moves could reshape the Premier League landscape in the coming months.
