Despite months of speculation and mounting pressure from fans, Manchester United may be forced to abandon their pursuit of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen due to a combination of financial, strategic, and competitive factors.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli in the Serie A, has established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Europe. With over 25 goals in all competitions last season and a reputation for pace, power, and clinical finishing, he has become a dream target for top European clubs, including Manchester United. However, bringing him to Old Trafford is proving far more complicated than expected.
One of the biggest obstacles is the financial package required to sign him. Napoli has reportedly placed a valuation of over €120 million on the Nigerian star, a figure that significantly exceeds United’s current transfer budget.
