Held at the Tema Sports Stadium and Teshie McDan AstroTurf, the event saw over 1,100 players take part.On the first day, 45 players were selected, with an additional 78 players picked on the second day, totaling 123 participants. These promising young athletes will be called back for further evaluation and assessment as part of the GFA’s ongoing effort to nurture future football talent.Abdul Karim Zito. Head Coach of the U19 National Team, expressed his satisfaction with the turnout, praising the players for their remarkable skills, vision, and confidence. Several GARFA Executive Council members were also present to lend their support to both the players and the scouting process.The GFA's collaboration with regional football associations, such as GARFA, aims to ensure a thorough and transparent selection process, giving players from all corners of the country an equal opportunity to showcase their abilities. Samuel Aboabire, GARFA Chairman, emphasized that this initiative is designed to motivate players, assuring them that their talent will be recognized regardless of their location.

We’ve cast a wide net to give our scouts and national team coaches access to a larger pool of talented players,” said Aboabire. “This will help inspire confidence among the players and strengthen their belief in the system, knowing their time will come.
