Galatasaray has extended its lead at the top of the Turkish Super Lig, now five points ahead of second-placed Fenerbahçe, who lost two crucial points in their 3-3 draw against Kayserispor. With 80 points and five matches remaining, Galatasaray is determined to keep their momentum and secure the league title. Their performance continues to impress, and they are focused on finishing strong to stay ahead and get their 25th super lig title

In a dominant 5-1 win against 5th-placed Eyüpspor, Nigerian international Victor Osimhen once again showed his strong form. He played a key role in the match, providing an assist for the first goal, which Rolland Sallai converted in the 29th minute. After that, Lucas Torreira made it 2-0 in the 56th minute, scoring his third goal in three games. His strike put Galatasaray firmly in control of the match.

Osimhen also scored in the 71st minute, a crucial goal that strengthened his position as the Turkish league’s top scorer, now with 22 goals, surpassing Piatek of Başakşehir, who has 20. Osimhen’s quality goal, in which he trapped the ball mid-air before finding the net, was definitely the highlight of the match for me.

With 31 goals and 7 assists in 38 appearances across all competitions, including 5 goals and 1 assist in the Europa League and 3 goals and 1 assist in the Turkish Cup, Osimhen's impact this season has been immense. His remarkable consistency throughout the season has been one of the driving forces behind Galatasaray’s push for the league title and their pursuit of a domestic double.

Alvaro Morata also contributed to the victory, scoring twice in the 87th and 89th minutes after coming on as a substitute. He was assisted by Mario Lemina in the 87th minute and Kaan Ayhan in the 89th minute.

With five matches remaining, Galatasaray needs to remain focused, as Fenerbahçe, though trailing by five points, could still capitalize on any slip-ups. The team is also eyeing the domestic double, with the Turkish Cup final against Trabzonspor.
