The guy who left the porcupines after expiration of his contract to Tanzania giants has found his way into the final of the CAF confederation cup. Steven Dese Mukwala who had a slow start with Simba sporting club has now helped his team enter the final for the first time in a while, after finishing the work in South Africa. And as usual has found his way into the hearts of some of the fans of the club.
Asante Kotoko has taken notice of a disturbing pattern of commentary in sections of the media following the results in our recent games. While it is no secret that the club management, technical team, and players alike are disappointed with both the performance and the results, what we find deeply troubling is the orchestrated attempt by a small but loud section of the media that claim to be affiliated to the club to derail our season through baseless and unwarranted attacks. These calculated attacks on our players and coaches, dressed up as analysis, are nothing short of an agendum to sow disunity and sabotage the hard work being done at all levels of the club. We view this as a direct threat to the cohesion and focus of the team, especially at a time when we are still firmly in the race for the double. A target we set at the beginning of the season.Let it be clearly stated: Asante Kotoko will not tolerate attempts; subtle or overt to destabilize this club. We will not hesitate to take on any media house or journalist whose conduct and reportage cross the line of professional ethics and descend into defamation and mischief. We consider this as a well-noted genuine concern.Furthermore, the club is equally disappointed that a few known supporters of the club, whose voices carry influence and whose duty it is to rally and unify supporters and project the club have instead chosen to lend credence to these divisive narratives.
