Robert Andzie Ansah, the Chief Executive Officer of Save Ghana Movement, a non-governmental organization, has called on Ghanaians to adopt a positive attitude and nurture patriotism to drive nation-building.

In an exclusive interview with Apiah-Kubi on Fabea FM's "Me Man Ho Dadwen" show, Andzie attributed Ghana's persistent problems to a lack of positive attitude and patriotism.

"We've been stuck with these problems for far too long, and it's time for a change," he said.

Citing Article 1 (1) of the 1992 constitution of Ghana, he emphasized the people's role in exercising government powers for their welfare.

Andzie emphasized that infrastructure development, such as roads, schools, and hospitals, is not enough to drive growth. "What matters most is the change in people's lives, which can only be achieved through positive attitudes, thinking, and verbal outreach towards development," he added.

He expressed concern that despite Ghana's independence, many problems remain unsolved due to lack of patriotism and willpower to transform the country.

A country that gained independence several years ago shouldn't be struggling by now. Ghana is a good loving and peaceful country but the only problem is the low patriotism and negative attitude towards the problems facing the country. It's time for a positive change and things will get better.

"It's worrying that the problems we're trying to address persist, and politicians are taking the people for granted," Andzie lamented.

It's time for the people to tell the politicians the truth about how things are done in the country and they should not continue to take the people for granted but should strive hard to bring development and build good infrastructure projects.

He stressed that changing attitudes in governance, the media, and citizenship would accelerate development by exhibiting responsible citizenship towards the country's development and success.

Positive attitude is what will drive the country forward for most of the problems to be solved.

Andzie urged Ghanaians to look beyond partisan politics and work towards a common goal to tackle the country's challenges. "Until we understand that our problems can't be solved along party lines, we'll continue to struggle," he stressed.

When partisan politics becomes too much then it affects everything. We have to do our best to instill discipline in ourselves and do what is right always. When we think positive, use positive attitude towards everything we do then the change in attitude is achieved to move the country forward.

He concluded that a united approach and positive attitudes are essential for Ghana's development and progress.

"We are our own failures. Until we change our attitude towards the country, development will remain elusive", he opined.
