As someone who started watching the Turkish Süper Lig because of Victor Osimhen’s loan move to Galatasaray, I must say I’ve become emotionally invested. Now that we’ve completed Week 33 of the league—with just five matches to go—let’s take a look at the top scorers and assist providers so far.
Of course, we all know that the only things certain in life are death, taxes, and Victor Osimhen goals. So, it’s no surprise that your current top scorer in the Turkish Süper Lig is none other than Victor Osimhen, who has netted 22 goals, despite missing four official matches at the start of the season before his loan move in September. Piatek of Rams Başakşehir follows closely with 20 goals.
Funny enough, Piatek was the top scorer for almost half the season—that is, until Osimhen found his scoring boots.
Simon Banza of Trabzonspor sits in third place with 19 goals, while Youssef En-Nesyri of Fenerbahçe is fourth with 16 goals, though the Fenerbahçe forward has been in a goal drought for about two months now.
Osimhen has played a total of 26 Süper Lig matches, so scoring 22 in 26 is definitely an impressive stat.
