GHANA DROP POINTS AGAINST DR CONGO IN UNDER 20 AFCON

With defending champions playing a 1-1 draw with the Central African Republic a black satellites win would take them to the top of group C. And they had to to it against a very young exuberant Congolese side who had six home grown players in their squad. The Ghanaians wore an all white jersey as the Congolese wore a yellow and orange jersey.

The game started with the Ghanaian side dominating play from the very start in all aspects of the game. The unfortunate happened on the 16th when Democratic Republic Of Congo scored the game's opener through Samuel Ntanda of Sampdoria football club in Italy.

The good thing is that even though they were down they kept on dominating play, their good work was rewarded in the 24th when Musibau Aziz connected a very lovely ball that was crossed into the box. Obviously the first half ended 1-1.

The Congolese started the second half with a double substitution and Ghana later retaliated by bringing in Jerry Afriyie. And also in the 72nd minute Congo brought in another set of 2 players. The 81srt minute saw Ghana bring in 3 players, where Aziz Isaah of FC Barcelona was part. But in all Abdul Sumiala was adjudged the man of the match. Both teams showed that they wanted to take away something something from the game, even though Ghana created more chances, the finishes was the  only problem with them.. The inclusion of Aziz Isaah,  Jerry Afriyie and some other players brought some more agency to the team but it just didn't end well for them.

The Ghanaians would now look on to their next game against the defending champions on Monday, remember both teams would go into the match with a draw and the dominant Senegal would love to win to get their title defence on course. It now for the team to make the necessary changes before the game on Monday.
