Gerard Pique doesn't feel like Lamine Yamal will play in their generation
One of the greatest centre backs in the history of Football and Fc Barcelona, Gerard Pique has come out to say Lamine Yamal won't play in their generation.
Gerard Piqué enjoyed a legendary football career filled with success at the highest level. He won over 400 matches during his time at Barcelona, and the Spanish national team.
He still managed to contribute around 25 assists in his career. When it comes to silverware, Pique's trophies is one of the most impressive in football history. He won a total of 37 major trophies, including La Liga titles, Champions Leagues, a Premier League, and a World Cup, making him one of the most players to win more trophies as a defender.
After 2022 season, he retired from football as a Barca legend. He said on a podcast that;
"My feelings is that, Lamine Yamal would not be playing in our generation ".
And you can understand him because, defenders by then, like, Ramos, John Terry, Pepe, and others are more stronger than the current ones in exception of Virgil van Dijk. Lamine will not be able to by pass Marcelo and others so Gerard might be right about Lamine Yamal not playing in their generation.
As of today, Lamine has taken Barcelona to the Uefa Champions League semi final where they will face inter Milan at San siro. He is going to face, Alessandro Bastoni who is the best centre back in Seria A.
