With everything almost set and ready for the big game ahead, the Ghana football association has made confirmation of the second semi final fixture of this year's MTN FA cup between Asante Kotoko Sporting club and Berekum Chelsea. The last time both sides met in this competition was in Obuasi. And Asante Kotoko lost on penalties to the blue and white boys. That was a quarter final fixture, this time around it's in the Tue semis and the FA says this match would be happening at the new Tarkwa Na Abooso Stadium popularly known as the TnA park in the Western region of Ghana. The date for the match is the 11th of May 2025 and the kickoff is exactly 3:00 Pm or 15:00 GMT. The match would be on both television and also radio. The radio broadcast is one that is a game changer this time. Where many stations have shown interest to do live commentary on the day. The twist to this is that the commentary would be done by one media house and would be distributed by all interested radio stations. Basically the radio right has been centralised for both semis and the final game itself.  GPL Team Of The Week

Also note that these sides have already met twice this season and Asante Kotoko has drawn one and won one. A draw at the Berekum golden city park and a win at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium. This shows that the porcupine warriors have a slight advantage going into this game. Over the weekend Berekum Chelsea lost to Aduana football club in a Bono derby, whilst Kotoko traveled all the way to the capital to play a goalless draw against Accra Hearts Of Oak. Chelsea beat Bechem United to reach this stage whilst Krobea also beat True Democracy football club to earn the spot. Who goes in the final this year. All to play for the win faces either Attram De Visa or Golden Kicks in the final.
