Hon. Effah Patrick (Hon. Patoo), the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Nkoranza North, has paid a courtesy call on the Traditional Authorities in Nkoranza to officially introduce himself, outline his vision and solicit their support and advice on the way forward in advancing the development of the Nkoranza North district.
However, he met Nkoranza Manhene, Nana Kwame Baffoe IV and the traditional leaders and their entourages.
In his interaction with the media after meeting Nkoranza manhene and the chiefs, the DCE noted that he has come to serve the people of Nkoranza North district and would always heed the concerns, suggestions and admonitions from all stakeholders when needed.
Meanwhile, since assuming office a few weeks ago, Effah Patrick has gifted four communities in his district with portable drinking water as his first achievement for his people.
According to Effah Patrick, he attributed his success so far to the traditional council's efforts and prayers, and expressed gratitude to the leaders.
He stated, "Our chiefs have potential roles to play in terms of development, and by blessing us with encouragement".
Effah Patrick appealed to the traditional leaders to see him as their son and support and guide him to ensure his administration succeeds to the benefit of the entire district.
"In all human institutions, there are challenges from different propensities but we should not let them hinder our plans for accelerated development in the district. I call for unity on all fronts as we chart the path of accelerated economic growth and development,” he stressed.
The DCE was accompanied by the Member of Parliament for the Nkoranza North Constituency, Hon. Joseph Kwasi Mensah, some party members, and staff of the District Assembly.
Touching on challenges in Nkoranza North's development, Effah Patrick emphasized the deplorable roads in the district will be constructed and to ensure the district has good roads.
"Our major concern in the Nkoranza North district is the bad roads, not only that, we have educational challenges which include bad environments and infrastructures", he bemoaned.
He added that teachers will be motivated and encouraged by introducing teacher award schemes and other forms of motivation to accelerate their developments to ensure that teachers give out their best to the students. We need to make education the best for the people of Nkoranza North.
He concluded with the assurance that he will be able to help develop Nkoranza North to remunerate and justify the trust placed in him by the President of Ghana, H.E John Dramani Mahama.
