They came second in this group with 5 points and are a win away from qualifying for the world cup. This one would be played in Chile this year from September to October. Their group saw everyone gaining points but the greatest went to first placed side Morocco who had 7 points and followed by Nigeria themselves who gained 5 of them to qualify and also Tunisia got only 3 points in the group stages of the tournament and would find it difficult to move out of the group as one of the best 3rd place sides. Note that only 4 countries would represent Africa in Chile.
