With high hopes of getting into the second leg of the second league of the semi-finals of the 2024-2025 Uefa Champions League game between PSG and Arsenal, in the capital of Paris. PSG, despite having a slight edge over the London-based side, still looked very careful because a one goal lead going into a big game like this is never something to take for granted. The head coach of PSG really went into this game with a strong team and made sure to place every player in the starting lineup. However, with the exception of Dembele for them in the first eleven all he had to do was put in someone to replace him before bringing them into the match in the second half from the bench. But lo and behold the French team got the first goal of the game in the 27th minute through Fabian Ruiz and extended their lead to 2. Arsenal started the game with all pressure and focus, had it not been for the intervention of Gianluigi Donnarumma who made about 3 crucial saves in the early minutes of the game. PSG would have been dealing with a mountain to climb. They overcame that scare and put one behind the gunners before the half whistle.
Back from the break Arsenal kept on making more dangerous challenges to get back into the game but the defence and master class saves from Donnarumma kept them away from scoring. After trying and trying the home side got another goal through Hakimi to make it 3 goals to nothing on aggregate in the 72nd minute. Not long after that the away side found their first goal to reduce the deficit to 2 goals through Bukayo Saka.
PSG went on to get a penalty that was missed by Vitinha after a good save from David Raya. The game ended 2-1 and 3-1 on aggregate. This means that PSG would face Inter Milan in the final that would come off at the Alluanz Arena in Munich.
