Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid deal confirmed to Coach Real Madrid in the 2025/26 season
Xabi Alonso who is a legend for both the English giants and the Spanish giants, Liverpool and Real Madrid, is set to coach Real Madrid in the 2025/26 season. He won the Uefa Champions League with Liverpool and Madrid and also went on to start his managerial career coaching Bayer Leverkusen.
In the 2023/24 season, he took Leverkusen to win the German Bundesliga title in over 5 years and he was unstoppable.
An agreement has been reached with Xabi Alonso on a 3 years contract until 2028. Carlo Ancelotti will leave the club and say goodbye after LaLiga 24/25 ends on May 25.
Ancelotti who is needed by the Brazil National team to play in the 2026 world cup, will have to go at the end of the current season. He is one of the greatest managers to have ever manage a team with the likes of, Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley and Pep Guardiola.
Xabi Alonso was offered a contract by Liverpool last season but rejected it which made Liverpool to contact Arne Slot to take over Jurgen Klopp, as he is waiting for Madrid. As of today, he will coach Real Madrid in the coming 2025/26 season to bring back glory to the club. He will coach the likes of Vinícius Jnr, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valvede, Carvajal and Modric.
