Martin Zubimendi to Arsenal is a done deal: Here We Go!
The spanish midfielder who was heavily linked to spanish giants, Real Madrid and English giants, Liverpool is set to sign a new contract with Arsenal. Zubimendi who stepped up for Rodri in the Euros as a defensive midfielder, helped Spain to win the Euros.
At Real Sociedad, Liverpool contacted him to fix their midfield problems back in 2024 but he rejected the offer. Real Madrid made the same contact but wasn't that much interested due to having enough midfielders.
Arsenal who went trophyless again in about 5 seasons in a row will go ahead to sign Zubimendi who is a midfielder a.d not fix their attacking options.
According to Fabrizio Romano;
"Arsenal agreed a deal to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad Arsenal are set to trigger €60m release clause, Zubimendi has agreed to sign a long term deal and formal steps will follow soon. Zubi, ready to become the first signing of the new season."
As he will be the first signing for Mikel Arteta going into the 2025/26 season, they will strengthen their midfield and also make sure to sign a striker.
But fans are beginning to question Mikel Arteta about why he is still signing midfielders when their major problem is a striker? This £60 million release clause can get a good striker in the market if £40 million is added to it but Arteta is still playing the stubbornness. Martin Zubimendi will join Arsenal and he "might" help them win trophies despite going trophyless this season again.
