Erling Haaland returns to Manchester City's starting XI today, making his first appearance in six weeks after recovering from injury. The City striker is set to lead the attack against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium this afternoon.
His return is a boost for Pep Guardiola’s side as they push to finish the Premier League season in the top 4. With Haaland as a striker, Manchester City will be favorites to beat Southampton despite they being relegated.
Erling Haaland is second as the top goal scorer in the Premier League this season and he is behind Liverpool’s legend, Mohamed Salah. City starting lineup today has shown how much Pep Guardiola’s side wants to play European football coming next season and he will look forward to strengthen his squad next summer.
As the season is coming to an end, which this season is Pep's worst season in his career, he is in the Fa Cup final and also, he is likely to finish second in a two horse race between the Premier league winners, Liverpool and Arsenal who went trophyless this season.

Manchester City might beat Crystal Palace in the fa cup final in Guardiola’s worst season and also be among the managers who has been to finals this season despite Arteta going trophyless.
