Chelsea has beaten Manchester United in their penultimate game of the season. This loss is Ruben Amorim's 14th Premier League loss of the season in 26 games.
With a win over United, Chelsea made up for their recent loss against Newcastle when they were down to 10 men. Cucurella scored the one and only goal for Chelsea in the 71st minute; however, what people are talking about is Reece James, who set up the goal.
James dribbled Garnacho to the floor, potentially sending him back to Argentina before setting Cucu up for the goal. He even did Cucu's famous penguin celebration with him.
With this win, Chelsea are currently in 4th position in the Premier League and have 66 points with just one match against Nottingham Forest to go.
In the match, Maguire thought he had given United an early lead, but his goal was ruled out for offside. Meanwhile, apart from the fact that we all know United deserve to be 16th on that table, as for Chelsea, they didn't play like a club that's in 5th position. In fact, I would simply say it was just pure luck that they were able to win—especially with players like Højlund on the pitch.
I think what many United fans are talking about is their £72m striker, Rasmus Højlund, who was caught wrestling with a Chelsea player instead of getting the ball. Hopefully, he doesn’t repeat this on Wednesday the 21st in the Europa League final against Spurs, as that is the most important game for United.
Honestly, there were a lot of mixed feelings from United fans about their loss to Chelsea. The two clubs have a level of rivalry with each other, so giving Chelsea 3 points that could potentially help their UCL qualification definitely feels wrong. But I think aside from that, more than ever, United fans are just happy that players like Bruno Fernandes escaped with their two legs intact from Mo Caicedo
's tackles.
