It was a goal fest at the Accra sports stadium when Accra Lions faced off with Aduana football club in the first game of match day 31. Musa Hamzata opened the scoring after he connected to a brilliant free kick from Fuzy Taylor in the 13th minute of the game. The second goal came from their striker Lucky Nwafori the 30th minute of the game after taking the ball from Faris Tahiru, twisting and turning his marker before he finally fired it home. Not long after that the third goal followed from Accra lions when Faris Tahiru took advantage of a mistake from Aduana to put the ball behind the net to make it 3 nil after 34 minutes of play. And in the stroke of half time, Lucky Nwafor scored his second goal of the game to make it 4 nil. This was a dominant display from the young team. Aduana's team couldn't hold the fort against them.

The second half began brilliantly but once again in the 61st minute Salman Tahiru fed on the good cross from Lawrence Setordjie to make it five goals to nothing. It has somehow taken the game away from the ogya boys because trailing 5 by goals in the 61st minute needed something more special to win the game.

But in the 82nd minute Emmanuel Opoku Peprah pulled one back for Aduana to make it 5-1. Then he came back to add a second in the 86th minute to complete his brace. 90+2 saw Emmanuel Marfo add the third to reduce the deficit for Ogya boys. The game ended 5-3 in favour. The lions boys to the 13th position with 35 points moving them from the relegation zone. All would be determined after the match day ends on Monday. A rollercoaster game it was many would have loved to see it on the television but we live where matches not being live is a normality. We shall meet again in some 4.
