ASANTE KOTOKO BEAT DREAMS FC IN BEAUTIFUL WAY. KWAME POKU BRACE

With a lineup that came as a surprise to many people, coach Karim Zito had his own plans. He started with 3 natural centre backs, Henry Kwame Ansu, Samba O'Neil and Joseph Ablorh. Many said that he was coming to defend but that wasn't the case he rather put Justice Blay at the right back and used Samba O'Neil as a shield for the defence of Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Dreams FC as usual came into the game with the mentality of also coming to enjoy the game as they've done all season.

But in the early minutes of the game Kotoko showed signs of how they were going to play. Possessing the ball and dominating play all over the pitch. And Kotoko started creating some good chances but the finishing was the problem. Dreams came into the game for a short stint and when they were enjoying the moment, the porcupine warriors hit them on counter attack and Kotoko beautifully finished it up with a cut back that was fed on by Albert Amoah to make it 1-0 as early as the 15th minute.

Kotoko went on to keep on dominating and the provider of the first goal was caught offside in the 30th minute. Kwame Poku then came in the 40th minute to score his goal. This helped in putting the porcupines up by two goals. And this goal came to him from a crossing of Patrick Asiedu. The referee added two minutes after the first 45 minutes. Coach Karim Zito made an early change by taking out Albert Amoah to bring in Elvis Kyei Baffour. The away side came with some new energy and managed to pull one back in 51st minute after Kotoko made a defensive error. But not long after that Kumasi Asante Kotoko scored another goal through Kwame Poku to make it 3 after they caught Dreams FC on the break again, and this time it was finished off by lobbying the ball off Richmond Ayi. That was in the 55th minute. Fernando Bassey and Michael Kyei Dwamena came into the came. The winger came in with some good will and on the 71st minute he made use of a rebound t make it 4 for the porcupine warriors.
