He is not new to the trends in the Asante Kotoko zone but. He was part of the players that were on the list of the club in the January transfer window. His contract ends at the end of the season. The club wanted to sign him outright from Bechem United but the price for him pushed the club away from getting him in January. Close sources say that Francis Acquah would join Kumasi Asante Kotoko if not team from outside the country or any last minute convos happen behind the scenes for the player. At the moment the club is free to negotiate with the player and his agents as they've not yet extended the contract for Bechem United. The rules from FIFA allow teams that are interested in players to move to them once they enter the last 6 months of their contracts.

 The team ( Kumasi Asante Kotoko) now has only one natural left back who is Patrick Asiedu and would love to get one more to help him. And also make him do more to earn his place into the starting eleven. Even if Francis's deal falls through, Kotoko would surely get a new left back before next season begins. 

All the clubs that treated Kotoko and our supporters badly this season are graduating exiting the Ghanaian top flight by natural means. On this faithful day, Legon Cities FC tried every possible means to beat Kotoko when they had previously lost to ordinary sides and were relegation threatened. A struggling Legon Cities FC wanted to win vs Kotoko at all cost hence employed all manner of unsporting activities including but not limited to preventing our substitutes from warming up during recess which led to exchanges between their officials and some of our supporters, particularly Nana Pooley( Rest In Peace).
