Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee, and Diogo Dalot are back in training ahead of Manchester United's Europa League final against Spurs, which will be held on the 21st of May. Zirkzee, known as a CF or "9.5" as he calls himself, got injured on April 13, 2025, and was ruled out with a hamstring injury for the rest of the season. Leny Yoro, the CB who was doubtful for the final after sustaining a foot injury, is also back in training. Meanwhile, Diogo Dalot, the fullback who sustained a calf injury and was initially ruled out for the rest of the season, has also returned to training in Bilbao ahead of this decisive and defining final.

Their return serves as a major boost to Manchester United in their bid to win the Europa League against Spurs. Tottenham will be looking to end their 19-year trophy drought tomorrow, and United needs all the reinforcements they can get to stop that from happening. Recall that Tottenham is currently 17th, and United is 16th on the table—meaning winning the Europa League is the only path to Champions League football next season for both teams, who narrowly escaped relegation.

Zirkzee, despite being at the center of criticism, has shown improvements—even after receiving boos in one of United’s matches. The No. 11 has displayed flashes of brilliance, especially in his link-up play. His presence offers United another option in the CF position, and he could play alongside Højlund. However, with Højlund missing several sitters recently, Zirkzee might be the better choice for the No. 9 role. The only concern is that he’s just coming back from injury, and Amorim might be reluctant to risk aggravating it by starting him.

Leny Yoro and Diogo Dalot are also strong options—not just defensively but offensively as well. They contribute significantly to hold-up play and link-up moves. Their presence will be vital for United tomorrow against Spurs.
