Christopher Nkunku is set to leave Chelsea this summer, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. This decision follows his underwhelming performance at the club, which has not justified the reported £52 million transfer fee paid to RB Leipzig. Moreover, his current form has not reflected his impressive achievements in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, where he won the following accolades:

Nkunku began his football career at the PSG youth academy, making his professional debut in 2015. While at PSG, he won three Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France trophies, and two Coupe de la Ligue titles, although he did not significantly contribute to any of them.
He was transferred to RB Leipzig for €13 million in 2019. During the 2021–22 season, he scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 34 league appearances. He also won the DFB-Pokal twice with Leipzig—in the 2021–22 and 2022–23 seasons.
After signing for Chelsea, his professional debut was delayed due to a knee injury sustained during preseason. While some argue that the injury affected his form—especially given the limited playing time during recovery—he has not shown much promise in the few games he has started. Injury problems have plagued him since joining Chelsea, further impacting his time at the club.
