Like everyone expected, coach Abdul Karim Zito was going to continue with the same formation and tactic he used against Dreams FC. And he did same by deploying Samba O'Neil in that midfield role. Bibiani Goldstars came into the game with aim to beat Kotoko at all cost. They created many chances but failed to utilise them.

Mohammed Camara stood between the Gye Nyame boys through out the first 45 minutes. In the second half coach Karim Zito brought in the young talented winger, Peter Amidu Acquah who was just returning from injury to make some impact on the game. As soon as he came onto the field his presence was felt anytime he got on the ball. Moving into spaces and creating opportunities but he just could not do the right thing as at those moments. Amidu gave the porcupines dominance for 20 minutes of the second half but right after that the miners took over the game again and kept on creating goal scoring chances. At the moment Mohammad Camara fumbled and the home side failed to take advantage of that chance. And in the last 15 to 10 minutes they came back to dominate Kotoko after coach Frimpong Manso had found a way to stop Peter.

And even with that the defenders kept on fouling him. The referee saw nothing wrong with that. No card was shown to a Goldstars player to. In the 82nd minute Camara made a big close range save that really meant a lot for the game and it prevented Samuel Atta kumi from scoring the opener of the game. After the 90 minutes 8 minutes were added, in those last minutes Kotoko had a big opening where Sampson Eduku hit the post with the goal open for him, but it life all happens for good. 

And with Nations football club winning by 3 goals to nil at home, it  means that the blue boys have gone 3 points ahead Bibiani Goldstars and 5 points ahead of Kotoko. Another win for them takes the league title away from Kotoko.
