The dream of Matheus Cunha lands Following the "agreement" of a long-term contract, Man Utd's shirt number With the Brazilian agreeing to a five-year contract with the Red Devils, Manchester United is getting closer to signing Wolves star Matheus Cunha in a £62.5 million transfer deal.

Marcus Rashford will no longer be wearing the No. 10 shirt for Manchester United; Matheus Cunha will take it instead. According to reports, the Red Devils and Wolves star Cunha have finalised their deal, offering him a long-term deal through 2030 with a 12-month option. The Brazilian will become United's first summer transfer window acquisition after the club pays his £62.5 million release clause. After leading Wolves to safety with 15 goals and six assists in the Premier League, the 25-year-old Cunha made an impression on Old Trafford officials.

The former Atletico Madrid forward, who is entering his prime and has experience in the English top division, is thought to be the perfect addition to revamp Ruben Amorim's goal-shy offence. Arsenal and Nottingham Forest expressed interest in Cunha during the January transfer window, but United has persuaded him to move north even though he won't be playing in Europe the following season.

According to talkSPORT, Cunha will receive the No. 10 shirt as a sweetener. Rashford has worn the number since 2018, but it is said that he will no longer wear it after being made available for transfer. Amorim, who approved the England international's loan to Aston Villa in January, has no future for him. Rashford was left out of United's 32-man roster for this week's postseason trip to Asia, which follows their 2-0 victory over 10-man Villa on Sunday.

As Amorim addressed the Old Trafford crowd and promised that "the good times are coming," Cunha seemed to bid farewell to Molineux, where he has played for the past two and a half seasons. At home against Brentford, Wolves drew 1-1, and the 25-year-old played the entire 90 minutes.
