Sarfo Duku, Asante Kotoko's director of communications, acknowledged that winning the Ghana Premier League in 2024–2025 is a challenging task.

Following a loss against Bibiani GoldStars in the Matchday 32 games, the Porcupine Warriors' chances of contending for the championship have diminished.

Bibiani presently sits in third place with 55 points, five points behind leaders Nations FC, who have two points left to finish the season after Kotoko left them with just one point.

Although theoretically it is doable, it is currently a very challenging undertaking for us, hence the title ambition remains. It has gotten really, really tough for us," Duku admitted to Citi Sports.

It will be quite difficult for Nations FC to lose given their current play, but that is what I hope," he continued.

When Asante Kotoko hosts Medeama SC in the Matchday 33 games at Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, they will be hoping to go back to winning ways.

On June 15, 2025, Kotoko will play Golden Kick in the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, where they have a chance to win the FA Cup.

Ghana coach Otto Addo gives Afena-Gyan another chance to show off.

Felix Afena-Gyan was called up to the senior national squad, and Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has encouraged him to show off.

For the first time since 2022, the Juventus Next Generation striker has been allowed to rejoin the squad for the Unity Cup matches.

Despite his difficulties, Addo told the media before the games that the former AS Roma striker deserved another shot.

He stated, "There are many young players, and he's young too. He did well, so we want to give him another chance; he's still young."

"His career hasn't gone as planned, but that's just the way football works. There are ups and downs in life, and for him, it's just another chance to express himself," he continued.

Afena-Gyan, who has six goals in 30 games for the Serie C team, is anticipated to report to Black Stars training in London today.

On Wednesday, May 28, the Black Stars will play their opponents, Nigeria, at the Gtech Community Stadium. On Saturday, May 31, the victor of that match will play either Trinidad & Tobago or Jamaica in the championship event.
