Abdul Aziz Issah of Dreams FC is reportedly being courted by Asante Kotoko to sign a season-long loan agreement.

After a stellar season with Dreams FC, where he played a key role in their push for the CAF Confederation Cup, the gifted 19-year-old midfielder secured a high-profile loan move to FC Barcelona last summer. A buy option was part of his contract with the Spanish powerhouses, but it was not exercised after the season.

Aziz was asked to train with the first squad under new boss Hansi Flick after he had a strong debut at Barça Athletic. He made brief appearances in games against Real Sociedad B and NÃstic, but as the season went on, he witnessed a decline in playing time and finally missed out on multiple matchday squads.

Kotoko has begun talking with his representatives about a possible transfer now that he is back at Dreams FC. Aziz's former teammate at Dreams FC, head coach Karim Zito, is thought to have played a significant role in the club's pursuit of the agreement.

Even though Kotoko is interested, rumors suggest that Aziz is also drawing interest from European teams and may consider his alternatives before deciding.

Sports Ministry reimburses former Black Stars coach C.K. Akonnor for $120,000 in arrears.

Charles Kwablan Akonnor, the former head coach of the Black Stars, has received $120,000 from the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, ending a lengthy salary dispute.

Over the years, Akonnor, who was hired in January 2020 and lasted for 21 months before being fired in September 2021, had been paid in part. The complete amount owed to him has been settled by the current payout.

Akonnor's assistant, David Duncan, also received $40,000 in outstanding compensation, according to documents obtained by Joy Sports. This is a major step in settling long-standing debts owed to Black Stars technical staff members.

The payments put an end to a challenging time when a number of coaches supported the national team in important international tournaments without getting paid in full.

After Ghana lost to South Africa 1-0 in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament, Akonnor was fired. The Black Stars had three points from two games and were third in Group G at the time of their relegation.

Following his appointment, Serbian coach Milovan Rajevac guided Ghana through the remainder of the qualifying campaign, earning them a spot at the World Cup in Qatar.
