MEDEAMA COACH IBRAHIM TANKO SAYS WE ARE READY FOR ASANTE KOTOKO.

Ibrahim Tanko, the head coach of Medeama Sporting Club, has shown confidence in his team's readiness for their game against Asante Kotoko.

Coach Tanko claims that his team is ready to take on the Porcupine Warriors and is hoping for a successful outcome.

"The goal is to have a very excellent game in Kumasi," Coach Tanko stated in an interview with Medi TV. Since I took over, I believe this will be the first game to go live, and it should inspire participants to perform to the best of their abilities."


He went on to say that his team's goal is to either win or draw.



"For Asante Kotoko, we are extremely ready. It will be one of the hardest games, but my squad is getting better, so I think we will get three or even our first away point this weekend."

"Coach Tanko said." Medeama SC will aim to capitalize on its readiness and secure a successful outcome.

Baba Yara Sports Stadium will host the Week 33 match between Asante Kotoko and Medeama SC on Sunday, June 1 at 3 p.m.

Against the Porcupine Warriors, Coach Tanko's squad will try to perform well.

Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, has expressed his happiness after Ghana defeated Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 in the 2025 Unity Cup third-place playoff.

The Black Stars recovered strongly on Saturday at the Gtech Community Stadium, securing a podium finish with a dominant performance after losing to Nigeria by a slim margin of 2-1 in the semifinals.

Jordan Ayew, the captain of Ghana, opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute, establishing the tone for a commanding first-half performance. Before the half, Ghana's lead was up to 3-0 thanks to goals from Union Saint-Gilloise's Mohammed Fuseini and Nations FC's Razak Simpson.


In the 57th minute, Lawrence Agyekum, who recently signed a permanent contract with Cercle Brugge of Belgium, added a fourth goal to conclude a brilliant display.

Speaking to the media following the game, Otto Addo acknowledged the importance of the outcome and commended his players for their enthusiastic response.

After the game, Addo remarked, "I think some of the players took advantage of the opportunities, and overall, we got a lot of responses. It is also nice to look to the future."



He went on to say, "They did incredibly well, and certainly we will continue to study them, and for us, we played well in the past World Cup qualifiers," about the team's recent performances.


"We will watch and see how they perform in their clubs, and as I mentioned earlier, I am thrilled today," he continued.

Ghana is presently concentrating on the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament after finishing their Unity Cup campaign. The Black Stars' September Matchday 7 and 8 schedules include an away match against Chad and a home match against Mali.
