Following Asante Kotoko's pivotal 3-2 victory over Medeama SC, head coach Karim Zito feels he has done his share to guide the club.

Under Zito's direction, Kotoko continued their winning streak with this victory.

Zito has led Kotoko to an outstanding run since stepping in as interim coach, with three victories and two draws in five games.

Kotoko is concentrating on the FA Cup even though they are currently in third place in the league standings with 58 points.

Zito declared, "I have been able to get past this point, and I have played at least five matches." "Winning the FA Cup is my goal; once I do, I will be happy and tell the technical director that I gave it my all."

Before facing Golden Kicks in the MTN FA Cup final on June 15, 2025, Kotoko will play their final league match against Vision FC. The goal of Zito's squad is to end the season on a high note.

RB Leipzig Eye Kojo Peprah Oppong, a defensive sensation from Ghana

According to sources who spoke to GHANAsoccernet.com, RB Leipzig is the most recent European powerhouse to show a keen interest in Ghanaian center-back Kojo Peprah Oppong.

The 20-year-old, who plays for IFK Norrkoping in the Swedish top division, has been drawing attention with his reliable performances and exceptional maturity in the center of the defense.

Oppong's ascent has been rapid and remarkable. The towering defender jumped to Europe after honing his skills at Ghanaian second-tier team Attram DeVisser Academy, which is renowned for developing young talent. He soon made a name for himself as one of the Allsvenskan's most promising prospects.

In addition to receiving praise locally, he has gained national recognition for his ability to read the game, his aerial prowess, and his ability to play out from the back.

Leipzig, which is renowned for its youth-first hiring strategy, is reportedly keeping a careful eye on Oppong's progress.

However, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund, and Galatasaray are also reportedly keeping an eye on the talent, so the German team has fierce competition.

His current Norrkoping deal expires in 2026, thus, the Swedish team has a lot of negotiation leverage.

But if Leipzig or other teams are willing to match valuation expectations, the increasing interest from elite clubs may lead to a summer transfer.

According to reports, FC Midtjylland and FC Copenhagen, two of Denmark's premier clubs, are watching the talented Ghanaian player.
