Berekum By the end of the week, a deal involving Chelsea captain Zakaria Fuseini and Ghanaian powerhouse Asante Kotoko is anticipated to be finalized.
Since making his top-flight debut in 2014, the 27-year-old center-back has played regularly, making him one of the most seasoned defenders in the Ghana Premier League. With 30 appearances, four goal involvements, three goals, and one assist, he has been a vital part of the current campaign.
Opemsuo Radio, based in Kumasi, claims that Fuseini and Kotoko have already reached a personal agreement. Karim Zito, the coach who will take over the Porcupine Warriors full-time for the 2025–2026 campaign, recommended the move.
Fuseini will rejoin his old Berekum Chelsea colleagues Lord Amoah, Patrick Asiedu, and Henry Ansu, who have also joined Kotoko, and is anticipated to play a major part in the team's reconstruction effort.

Following the postponed match against Nations FC, Basake Holy Stars seek points.
Following the cancellation of their Ghana Premier League match against Nations FC, Basake Holy Stars have formally written to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to request three points and three goals.
When Nations FC left the field during the league season's penultimate match, it became a contentious event. Investigations are underway, the GFA said.
When tempers erupted, Holy Stars had awarded a second penalty, scored from the penalty spot, and were ahead by one goal. After a brawl broke out on the field, security officers intervened, and Nations FC left the game.
Nations FC released a strong-worded statement accusing the abuse later on Sunday. According to the club, fans were intimidated, officiating was poor, security was insufficient, and their chairman, Dr. Kwame Kyei, was attacked.
Since then, the team has threatened to leave the league, and Dr. Kyei has apologized in public for his investment in Ghanaian football. The event further taints an already challenging season full of controversy, including the stabbing of Kotoko fan Nana Pooley earlier in the season, which resulted in a league-wide temporary suspension.
Nsoatreman finally pulled out of the tournament, but the unrest persisted despite changes made in the wake of that occurrence. It looks like Nations FC is about to follow suit.
In the meantime, Holy Stars are vying for the points, which might have a big effect on the battle for the championship. A victory would have improved the chances for Nations FC, who are vying for their first Premier League title. Their choice to end the game, however, increases the likelihood that Holy Stars will win the points or that a replay will be mandated.
As the last matchday approaches, Nations FC and the Bibiani Gold Stars, who are currently in second position, are tied on points. In the upcoming days, the GFA is anticipated to provide a decision regarding the occurrence.
