WHO WILL BECOME TOTTENHAM'S NEXT MANAGER AFTER ANGE POSTECOGLOU'S DISMISSAL

Who will become Tottenham's next manager after Ange Postecoglou's dismissal

The hypothetical dismissal of Ange Postecoglou sends Tottenham Hotspur hurtling back into familiar, uncomfortable territory: the search for a new manager. While Postecoglou brought initial attacking verve, a hypothetical collapse exposing defensive frailties and fading results could force Daniel Levy's hand. So, who steps into the hot seat at N17?

Roberto De Zerbi emerges as the early favourite for many. His intense, possession-based style at Brighton thrilled neutrals and aligns with Spurs' desire for attacking football. He knows the Premier League, develops young talent, and craves a project with bigger resources. However, questions linger about defensive organisation under pressure, and his fiery temperament could clash with Levy.

Ruben Amorim represents an exciting, slightly left-field option. The Sporting CP boss has built a reputation for tactical intelligence, winning a league title and playing dynamic, high-pressing football. His 3-4-3 system could suit Spurs' personnel. The major hurdles? A hefty €20m release clause and his lack of Premier League experience.

Graham Potter offers a known quantity, albeit one with a mixed recent record. His work at Brighton was exceptional, building a cohesive, progressive team on a budget. His calm demeanour and structured approach could stabilise a potentially fractured squad. Yet, his difficult Chelsea stint damaged his stock, and some fans might view him as an uninspiring, overly cautious choice.

Dark horses lurk. Kieran McKenna's remarkable transformation of Ipswich Town, playing attractive, attacking football, makes him a rising star. Thomas Frank's consistency and overachievement at Brentford command respect, though his style may be deemed less glamorous. A reunion with Mauricio Pochettino remains the dream for many fans, but the messy nature of his departure and his recent Chelsea struggles make it highly improbable.

Ultimately, Levy faces a critical decision. Does he chase the high-ceiling excitement of De Zerbi or Amorim, gamble on Potter's redemption, or opt for the potential of McKenna? The club's direction – immediate top-four push vs. longer-term rebuild – will heavily influence the choice. Spurs' history suggests unpredictability; don't rule out another curveball appointment. One thing is certain: the pressure to finally find lasting success means this hypothetical next manager will walk into one of football's most scrutinized roles.
