Hearts of Oak defeated champions Samartex 1-0 on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium to guarantee a top-four finish on the last day of the season.

Konadu Yiadom led the Phobians to a vital victory in front of their home crowd with the game's lone goal. Despite Hearts' strong start and early scoring opportunities, the Timber Giants held tight at the back in the first half, guaranteeing that neither team scored at the intermission.

Yiadom broke the stalemate shortly after the restart by completing a skillfully executed play to give Aboubakar Ouattara's team the advantage. With the outcome, Hearts' winning streak now stands at six games, three victories, and three draws.

The already-crowned winners, Samartex, failed to mount much of an offensive effort and lost for the third time in five games. With their victory, Hearts moved up to fourth place, surpassing Asante Kotoko, who fell to Vision FC 3-1.

They finish the season five points behind the Bibiani GoldStars, who won the league.

Week 34 of the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League: Medeama SC 1-2 Berekum Chelsea Match Report

On the last day of the 2024–25 Ghana Premier League season, Medeama SC lost 2-1 at home to Berekum Chelsea at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa, capping a disappointing campaign.

Vincent Klu Adjei gave the visitors the lead early in the second half by taking advantage of a defensive breakdown by Medeama. In response, Kingsley Braye of the hosts made a valiant attempt to restore parity. The happiness was short-lived, though, as Kofi Ansu Patrick, a former Medeama striker, came back to torment his old team by giving Chelsea the victory five minutes from the end.

Since taking over the Mauve and Yellow in the middle of the season, head coach Ibrahim Tanko had never suffered a home loss until this one. Medeama failed to finish on a positive note, finishing the season in eighth place, much behind expectations for the defending CAF Champions League participants, despite indications of improvement under his leadership.

Berekum Chelsea, meanwhile, finished in 12th place, capping their season on a high note.

As they prepare to regroup and refocus for the upcoming campaign, the outcome encapsulates Medeama's inconsistent play throughout the season.
