Despite this, he insisted on playing, wanting to help the team win their third major title and second UEFA Nations League trophy.
The Portugal captain has now led his country to its third international trophy—his third with the team as well.

"I felt the injury since the warm-up. It’s been bothering me for a while. But for Portugal, if I had to break my leg, I would do it.

When asked about retirement, Ronaldo responded that he would retire when he felt he could no longer play.
