The first words of Matheus Cunha after the £62.5 million new boy completes his Manchester United transfer The Brazil international was finally unveiled on Thursday after Manchester United spent £62.5 million to acquire Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers as their first summer acquisition.

Matheus Cunha was signed by Manchester United from Wolves for £62.5 million. The Brazilian international forward, 26, has agreed to a deal that will expire in June 2030 with a one-year extension option. "It is difficult to put into words my feelings about becoming a Manchester United player," said Cunha, a forward from Brazil and United's first summer transfer acquisition. United has always been my favourite English team, and I've wanted to wear the red shirt since I was a kid in Brazil watching Premier League games on TV at my grandmother's house.

"I'm concentrating solely on working hard to contribute to the team and help this club return to the top." "Bringing in Matheus was one of our main priorities for this summer, so we are delighted to have completed his signing so early in the window," stated Jason Wilcox, director of football at United.

"During his tenure at Wolves, and previously in Spain and Germany, he has demonstrated his ability to thrive in the Premier League as one of the most dynamic and effective forwards in England. "He possesses every attribute we are seeking in order to create a solid, vibrant, and entertaining team that can compete for the greatest honours."

On June 1, both United and former team Wolves made the initial announcement about the deal. "Everyone at Wolves would like to thank Matheus for his contributions in old gold and wish him and his family the best of luck for the future," the Wolves club said in a brief statement.
