A final that they carved for but Asante Kotoko were going to come up against a hungry Golden Kick side. Their coach was making the headlines just before the match and he had a point to be saying it all. The man had guided his side to take down the might of Accra Hearts Of Oak and Karela United and even did it against Attram De Visa in the semi final.

Kotoko opened the scoring of the game through Kwame Poku in the 17th minute and Golden Kick responded with a stunning free kick in the 32nd minute from Bless Ege. Kotoko knew they had to do more to win the game from the moment that goal came from their opponent.

Then the heat was turned on Kotoko as they played a free flowing football that really put the porcupine warriors in a tight corner. But the hit goal and the winner of the came came from a controversial moment where Golden Kick did not agree to the penalty that was beautifully converted by Kwame Poku to make it 2-1. And had his second goal of the game. This means that Kotoko now has 10 ten FA cups trophies and just 2 paces behind Accra Hearts Of Oak.

Anyhow anyway they won but the African tournament won't come this way they must do more for the task that lies ahead of them.

Founded on June 1, 2009, by the passionate football enthusiast Mr. Henry Kanyi Foli, Newtown Youth FC has steadily risen from modest beginnings to become one of the most promising clubs in the Greater Accra football scene. Established with a clear mission—to identify, nurture, and elevate young footballing talents in Accra New Town—the club has not only changed lives but also reshaped the narrative of community football in Ghana.

Newtown Youth FC made their competitive debut in the Accra North District Football Association Division Three League, immediately making an impact with their raw talent and fierce determination. Within a year, their impressive performances earned them promotion to the Greater Accra Regional Football Association Division Two League in 2010.
