According to GHANAsoccernet.com, talks between Hearts of Oak and Coach Maxwell Konadu are "advanced." The former assistant coach for Asante Kotoko and the Black Stars is about to make a high-profile comeback to Ghanaian football.

Konadu is the front-runner to succeed current head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who is being considered for a reassignment as technical director, according to GHANAsoccernet.com Headquarters.

Hearts of Oak have never concealed their desire to regain their position as the leading team in Ghanaian football, and hiring the incredibly seasoned Konadu is thought to be a crucial first step in that direction.

Although the last details are still being worked out, discussions have advanced considerably, and there is currently a basic agreement in place.

According to reports, the club is putting together a hefty cash package to persuade Konadu to assume leadership. Despite not having a job since leaving, the 52-year-old, who most recently led the Black Leopards of South Africa, is still well-liked in Ghanaian football circles.

However, the relationship between Konadu and Ouattara could be a roadblock to the appointment. According to people familiar with the talks, Konadu is apprehensive about working under the Ivorian because of his more extensive coaching background and reputation in Ghanaian football.

According to GHANAsoccernet.com, this internal conflict has caused a delay in the official release.

If the sale goes through, it would be a huge victory for Hearts of Oak. The FA Cup victory with Nsoatreman FC was a recent high point in Konadu's illustrious managerial career.

Additionally, he has been the head coach of Ghana's U-23 squad and the senior national team's assistant coach under a number of well-known managers, including Chris Hughton, Otto Addo, Avram Grant, Kwesi Appiah, and Milovan Rajevac.

He is an appealing addition to Hearts as the team looks for stability and a return to glory because of his extensive knowledge of the Ghana Premier League and his international experience.

Despite finishing fourth in the current season under Ouattara, the Phobians have had difficulty staying consistent since winning the championship in 2021.

By appointing Konadu as head coach and promoting Ouattara to a crucial technical position, the proposed reorganization demonstrates the club's intention to create a more resilient and competitive structure.

If confirmed, Konadu's task will be to bring the team together, rekindle the passion of the supporters, and propel the team back to the top of Ghanaian football.

For the time being, everyone is still waiting to see how the last negotiations turn out. Supporters, however, are beginning to believe that Maxwell Konadu's arrival may mark the start of a fresh and exciting chapter at Hearts of Oak.
