Kwame Opoku, a forward for Asante Kotoko, said that even though they won the FA Cup, they did not expect a difficult match against Golden Kick, a lower-tier team.
After Opoku gave the Porcupine Warriors the lead, Golden Kick's Bless Ege scored a consolation goal in the last seconds to complete the victory.
Golden Kick put on an outstanding display that stunned everyone, even the match winner, even though Kotoko won.
"We never imagined they would offer us a game like this; therefore, I am thrilled we won." He told Joy Sports, "They played really well."
"All things considered, we thank God for the win."
Opoku feels satisfied with his accomplishment of winning the trophy, which is his first for the team.
"I am a happy man because I wanted to help Asante Kotoko in my first season, but I had to go.
He said, "I needed to prove myself in my second term; to do something for my beautiful club."
Asante Kotoko will play for the nation in the 2025–2026 CAF Confederation Cup after winning the FA Cup for the tenth time.

"Your award show ought to inspire people to begin doing things morally. Ghana cannot remain a mediocrity because we have too much skill," he stated.
Mensah, who is currently the President of the African Association of World Rugby, also dedicated his prize to everyone who has contributed to the advancement of Ghanaian football in the background.
He said, "The citation is not for me; rather, it is for the individuals who walk the voyage and, more significantly, to the people who make the decisions to act morally."
From 1999 until 2003, Herbert Mensah served as Asante Kotoko's executive chairman. During this time, the team underwent substantial change and became more professional.
