Kwame Opoku, a striker for Asante Kotoko, has called the team's failure to win the Ghana Premier League title in 2024–2025 regrettable.

He is pleased, nonetheless, as the club won the MTN FA Cup final 2-1 over Golden Kick to secure the trophy and prevent the season from finishing without one.

"I am thrilled because we can not go without a trophy for all the effort we have put in.


We cannot go trophyless because we are Asante Kotoko. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to win the league. After the FA Cup final, Kwame Opoku told 3Sports, "I am delighted we won this FA Cup because we were expected to accomplish something for my club."



Kwame Opoku scored both goals to help Asante Kotoko defeat Golden Kick in the MTN FA Cup finals.

After making 17 appearances in the Ghana Premier League, he made an impression with nine goals and two assists.

His current goal is to assist Kotoko in winning the league the following season.

Akwasi Adu, the CEO of Bibiani GoldStars, has stated that the team's goal is to qualify to play in the money zone before making their first appearance in the CAF Champions League.

After winning the 2024–2025 Ghana Premier League, the Miners will play in the CAF elite tournament for the first time the following season.

Ghanaian clubs have had difficulty breaking into the Champions League's money zone in previous years.



Speaking in an interview, Akwasi Adu disclosed that they have asked Ghanaian clubs that have participated in the Champions League for advice on how to accomplish their goal by playing in the money zone.

He told Asempa FM, "We have begun reaching out to clubs that have played in the CAF Champions League to share their knowledge with us." "We have learned enough about our responsibilities, and we want to fulfill them.

"As a group, we have the goal of playing in the money zone. "We do proper recruitment to guarantee that we meet our target, even if we know it will not come lightly," he continued.


On August 31, Bibiani GoldStars will play FA Cup champions Asante Kotoko in a Champion of Champions match as part of their preparation for their African campaign.
