Emmanuel Sarpong, a forward for Berekum Chelsea, is currently in Accra to finalize his transfer to the capital club, and Hearts of Oak is close to signing him.

To finalize his transfer, the highly regarded striker came into the city earlier this week.

Both teams are getting ready to exchange the required paperwork in the next few days, which will formally make Sarpong a Hearts of Oak player, according to transfer analyst Mohammed Shaban.

Several elite teams have expressed interest in the 27-year-old since he has been one of the Ghana Premier League's most impressive players this season. Hearts of Oak prioritized him as they try to increase their attacking alternatives for the upcoming season because of his clinical finishing and deft movement in the final third.

Sarpong's impending arrival indicates Hearts' desire to bolster their team following a disappointing year.

The Phobians are eager to assemble a strong squad that can contend for national championships.

The striker's signing is anticipated to be formally confirmed after the last paperwork is finished, and fans will be excited to watch him play.

Baba Rahman criticizes Ghana's subpar pitch conditions, calling them a national embarrassment.

Baba Rahman, a defender for the Black Stars, has called Ghana's pitch conditions an embarrassment.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been furious with Ghana in recent years because of the condition of the fields.

However, the condition of the field at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, the site of the 2024–2025 FA Cup final, disappointed fans.

In an interview with Joy Sports, Rahman called on authorities to take swift action to address the persistent issue.

The POAK defender stated, "This is a significant issue that needs quick action."

Let us at least make sure the national team has a suitable field to play on. "I am pleading with those in authority." It can be quite awkward at times.

Rahman also discussed how Ghana's reputation abroad has suffered as a result of the subpar pitch conditions.

After serving abroad, you return to your club, where your teammates make fun of the nation due to the fields we utilize. It truly is a national embarrassment.

He acknowledged the difficulties Ghana's climate presents, but he maintained that more could be done.

"We still need to put in the work, even if I know the weather makes pitch upkeep challenging. All of our national teams—from the kids to the women's teams—will gain from better pitches.
