He returned from injury at a point when the players of the club were under some sought of pressure just to try and win the double and Albert Amoah was in the mist of this with the squad who were still in poll position to get the trophy from Goldstars and Nations FC. And for a guy who was coming back from an injury patience was not really there for him too. But he worse up to the occasion in the last 4 games and show that even though almost all was lot some hope could be found. Young striker Albert Amoah who played four hundred and five (405) minutes in the months of may and June and also bag a man of the match award to scoring 4 goals from a total of 5 matches has been nominated for the Nasco Ghana Premier League player of the month award for May and June combined.
His other competitors are Kingsley Braye of Medeama sporting club who scored 3 goals in 3 matches and won a single man of the match award and Kelvin Ampoful of Nations FC who played a total of 450 minutes and won 3 man of the match awards from 5 games.
On another note, beyond the penalty incident, perhaps it’s time we consider giving the UG Stadium a break. The state of the pitch has deteriorated significantly, and stepping away from using it for a while could allow for much-needed repairs and restoration. If there's one committed supporters leader I have ever seen at Kotoko in recent times, then it's none other than this fine gentleman, Christopher. The huge cedis this man has spent on Kotoko surpasses that of any supporters' leader. From hiring free buses for fans, cash donations to the club, buying players, tipping players, funding dinners, I mean name them. These are the kinda dedicated souls that are supposed to be protected at all cost and included in Kotoko's affairs at all times. There are still good people in this space, never fold quickly.
