"I Have Dined with the Devil Before" – Mustapha Gbande Says Christians Take Jesus for Granted

In a stirring and unfiltered message that is now making waves across social and religious circles, Mustapha Gbande, a former occultist turned preacher, boldly declared,

“I have dined with the devil before, and I know the power of darkness. That’s why I can’t keep silent when I see Christians taking Jesus for granted.”

With a conviction forged in the fire of spiritual warfare, Gbande didn’t mince words as he delivered his truth. He painted a vivid contrast between the fearsome loyalty of the occult realm and what he described as the “casual, lukewarm faith” of many modern believers. “

In the dark world,” he said, “we obeyed instantly, no questions. A command was a command. But Christians negotiate with God as if He were their roommate. They don’t understand the privilege they’ve been given.”

Gbande, who spent years entrenched in the occult before encountering Christ, says his past gives him a unique lens. “You don’t understand how powerful the name of Jesus is until you’ve been on the other side. When that name is mentioned in darkness, everything trembles. But the people holding that name? They’re playing games.”

His words struck a nerve—not just because of his past, but because of the truth many feel but rarely say out loud. According to Gbande,

“The devil respects spiritual order more than some Christians do. In the demonic world, no one shows up unprepared. But believers approach the presence of God like it’s a casual meetup. No reverence. No fire. Just routine.”

The former occultist also issued a warning. “I’ve seen what darkness can do. I’ve seen souls traded, destinies manipulated. And yet, the only name that made those spirits scream in fear was Jesus. That’s the name you carry—and still, you’re afraid of life?”

His final charge was a call to wake up. “If you understood what you’ve been given in Christ, you’d never live defeated. You’d never treat prayer as optional. You wouldn’t look for help in the wrong places. Jesus is not your backup plan. He’s the power you’ve underestimated.”

Mustapha Gbande’s words may ruffle feathers, but perhaps that’s the point. He’s not trying to comfort the complacent—he’s sounding an alarm. Because when someone who once dined with the devil speaks, maybe it's time we start listening.
