Blakk Rasta Celebrates Kofi Boat’s Arrest As He Exposes How He Allegedly Betrayed NAM 1: “Karma”

A couple of years ago, I was at a small event in Accra where Blakk Rasta was performing. It wasn’t anything fancy—just a community arts night, warm kelewele in brown paper, folks sipping sobolo, and conversations louder than the speakers. Blakk Rasta stepped on that little stage with his usual fire and said something that stuck with me: “No matter how long it takes, truth always knocks.” At the time, I thought it was just one of those poetic lines artists throw around. But lately? It feels like those words were prophetic.

So, when I saw that video clip of Blakk Rasta celebrating Kofi Boat’s arrest, I paused my Instagram scroll, went back, and watched it again. Not because I enjoy watching people get locked up. Nah. But because Blakk Rasta seemed... vindicated. Like he’d been waiting a long time for this.

Apparently, the whole thing has roots deeper than most of us realized.

From what’s coming out now, Kofi Boat—once seen as part of the inner circle around NAM1 (yes, the same embattled Menzgold boss)—may have had more going on behind the scenes than the public saw. According to Blakk Rasta, Kofi Boat allegedly betrayed NAM1, possibly helping to twist the knife when the Menzgold ship started sinking. And this isn’t some random speculation. Blakk Rasta dropped names, timelines, and enough salt to season all the beef in Ghana.

Now, here’s where it gets wild (and kinda ironic): the same Kofi Boat who allegedly helped tear down a man already surrounded by controversy, is now being dragged by the same justice system that overlooked him for so long. Talk about full circle.

Blakk Rasta, of course, wasn’t subtle about it. He called it karma—and you could hear the satisfaction in his voice. Honestly? I don’t blame him. You ever watch someone do you dirty, smile in your face, and walk around acting like the good guy? Then, years later, they get exposed? Yeah… it’s a weird mix of relief, validation, and just a bit of “I told you so” dancing in your chest.

But let’s be real—this whole NAM1 saga is like a Ghanaian telenovela that refuses to end. So many characters. So many plot twists. First, it was customers crying for their locked funds. Then we had the court battles, the apologies, the vanishing promises. And now, people like Kofi Boat are getting roped in. Makes you wonder: how many people were complicit, but stayed silent while NAM1 took the heat?

In my experience, people in powerful circles rarely fall alone. There’s always someone pulling strings, or at least helping tie the noose.

Blakk Rasta’s celebration wasn’t just about one man getting arrested. It felt more like a release—like years of frustration, suspicion, and industry whispers were finally justified. He’s been vocal, sometimes too vocal for comfort, but at least he’s consistent. And whether you agree with him or not, you can’t deny he’s been warning us about the rot behind some of these glittery curtains.

I might be wrong, but something tells me this arrest is just the beginning. If Kofi Boat really betrayed NAM1, who else was involved? And if NAM1 was the villain all along, what does it say about the people who stood beside him, only to scatter like cockroaches when the lights came on?

I guess what really bugs me is this: in a country where trust is already hanging by a thread, stories like this just make it harder to believe in anything. How do we protect ourselves from the next Kofi Boat or the next NAM1? And how many of our heroes are actually just villains in disguise?

Maybe it’s not just karma. Maybe it’s the universe reminding us to look a little deeper, ask harder questions, and stop putting people on pedestals too quickly.

Because as Blakk Rasta said that night in Accra, “Truth always knocks.”

Question is… are we brave enough to open the door?
