The University of Cape Coast (UCC), in strong partnership with key academic departments under the College of Education Studies, has opened admissions for the 2025/2026 Master of Education (M.Ed.) Sandwich Programmes—Cohort 2.
This collaborative effort, spearheaded by the Institute of Education, is part of UCC’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the teaching profession through advanced academic training. The sandwich programmes are tailored for in-service teachers and education professionals seeking to deepen their knowledge and sharpen their instructional skills while remaining active in their roles.
In line with national education priorities, the following M.Ed. specializations are available:
•Science Education
•Mathematics Education
•Information and Communication •Technology
•Arts Education
•Accounting Education
•Management Education
•Economics Education
•Social Studies
•Guidance and Counselling
•Educational Psychology
•Early Childhood Education
•Home Economics
•Sociology of Education
These programmes are designed in collaboration with the relevant academic departments, ensuring both academic rigour and practical relevance.
As part of the partnership framework, UCC is working with selected institutions across the country to serve as study centres:
•Tamale College of Education – Tamale
•Christ the Teacher College of Education – Kumasi
•Kibi College of Education – Kibi
•Wise Educational Complex – Sunyani
Each centre will deliver programmes aligned with its capacity and regional demand.
Applicants must:
•Hold at least a Third Class Honours in a relevant first degree from a recognized university or accredited institution.
