A new signing for Asante Kotoko, Dari Aziz Haruna, describes the move as a significant milestone in his career and believes it is an honor to join the record Ghana Premier League champions.

In his unveiling this week, the former Bechem United goalie acknowledged his pride at joining the storied history of the Kumasi-based team.

He informed the club's media, "I am honored to join a team with such a rich history and passionate followers." "I am prepared to put up my best effort and support the squad in achieving its goals in Africa and the league."

Haruna's remarks follow Kotoko's decision to not extend Frederick Asare's contract, which made room for the 24-year-old to join.

He played 82 league games throughout his five seasons at Bechem United, helping the team maintain its position as a top-half challenger in the GPL, including finishing in 10th place in the 2024–2025 season.

Kotoko qualified for the 2025–2026 CAF Confederation Cup after winning the MTN FA Cup and finishing third in the league last season.

Haruna is the fifth player the Porcupine Warriors have signed this window as they strengthen their team in preparation for their comeback to continental football.

Neom is prepared to meet Mohammed Kudus's £70 million West Ham assessment.

According to sources, Saudi club Neom SC is ready to pay West Ham £70 million for Ghanaian international Mohammed Kudus, setting themselves up to start a summer transfer flurry.

This summer, Kudus, 24, wants to move on, putting Champions League football ahead of a domestic move.

West Ham is reportedly willing to accept lower offers, around £70 million, suggesting the winger's willingness to depart, despite his contract including a £85 million release clause for Premier League clubs.

Newly promoted Neom SC, supported by Saudi Arabia's grandiose NEOM megaproject, is apparently prepared to match West Ham's asking price; however, Kudus alone will make the final decision.

In addition to Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City keeping a careful eye on events, other Premier League teams, such as Chelsea and Newcastle, have carried out preliminary evaluations.

Though seen as a backup plan in case their top targets do not materialize, Tottenham is reportedly interested.

Kudus has stated that he is prepared to carefully weigh his options before choosing one. His goal is still to play in Europe's top league, something Saudi football is currently unable to provide.

Given their financial limitations, West Ham seems willing to haggle if a good offer comes up.

As ambitious Saudi teams increasingly covet Premier League talent, Neom is now showing themselves to be a legitimate contender willing to pay that price.

The upcoming weeks could be crucial in deciding whether Kudus enters the race, as Neom is prepared to go up against European powerhouses for his signature during the player's release clause window, which opens from July 1 to July 10.
