PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYERS OUT OF CONTRACT TODAY AHEAD OF FREE TRANSFER MOVES

June 30, 2025

Alright, so here’s the scoop: Kevin De Bruyne, Thomas Partey, Christian Eriksen, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and Michail Antonio are just a handful of players whose contracts officially wrap up on June 30.
In total, we’re looking at 51 Premier League stars who have only a few hours left on their current deals before they become free agents or finalize moves on a free transfer. June 30 is the deadline for players whose contracts were set to expire at the end of the 2024-25 season, and most of their futures are already pretty much set, thanks to club announcements.
They’ve put together the retained and released lists, said their goodbyes, and cleared out their lockers. Some players probably already have their next gig lined up, while others are about to dive into the free agent pool.
Once the clock strikes midnight and Tuesday rolls around, those players without contracts can jump to a new club for free, all thanks to the Bosman rule. There was a bit of last-minute action, too, because on Friday, Manchester United announced that goalkeeper Tom Heaton had signed an extension, and Everton’s captain Seamus Coleman also secured a new deal.
Now, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kevin De Bruyne were definitely the big names nearing the end of their contracts this year. Real Madrid forked out £10 million to snatch up Alexander-Arnold just in time for the Club World Cup, while De Bruyne decided to skip that competition before agreeing to a deal with Napoli.
A couple of players have made the decision to hang up their boots once their contracts end. Jonny Evans from United has announced his retirement, and Adam Lallana from Southampton is also calling it quits, even though Southampton is headed to the Championship along with Ipswich and Leicester.
