The injury to midfielder Andrews Ntim Manu has been a source of frustration for Asante Kotoko's coach, Abdul Karim Zito.
Due to an ACL injury, the star midfield player will be out for around nine months.
Andrews Ntim Manu, a midfielder for Asante Kotoko SC, has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and will have surgery in the next few days.
After a comprehensive medical evaluation and imaging, our medical team and knowledgeable doctors have determined that surgery is necessary to treat the injury, which was received during our most recent FA Cup triumph over Golden Kick. The midfielder was taken off the field five minutes into the second half. On Tuesday, July 1, Kotoko declared that he will be out of action for almost nine months due to recuperation and rehabilitation.
Coach Abdul Karim Zito responded to the heartbreaking news by calling it a catastrophe for his team.
He says it will be hard to find someone to replace Andrews Ntim Manu.
"Ntim is a dedicated team player for me. I can always be confident in the duties I will assign him when I am with him. I did not want to accept that. It would be disastrous to miss Ntim for nearly six months. I have not yet found a replacement for him. On YouTube, Karim Zito said, "I pray and hope that I can find his replacement."
