Arsenal have made plans to sign Noni Madueke, as exclusively revealed by Fabrizio Romano. However, there is a difference between Arsenal and Chelsea's valuation of the player.

Noni joined Chelsea from PSV in a deal worth £25–30 million, signing a 7.5-year contract. However, he has failed to deliver consistent performances in two consecutive seasons at Chelsea, prompting the club to place him on the transfer list.

Arsenal are planning to revamp their squad after finishing second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons. The second-place finish in the most recent campaign was especially painful, as they had a chance to win the league if they had simply beaten West Ham. Instead, they lost, and Manchester City clinched the title by defeating Tottenham.

This time around, Arsenal managed to reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League after beating Real Madrid, thanks to two free-kick goals by Declan Rice. However, they failed to overcome PSG over two legs. Despite having the best defensive record in the Premier League, Arsenal are now focused on strengthening their attack by signing a winger.

The club made initial contact for Eberechi Eze and would like to sign him in addition to the Noni Madueke deal.

Chelsea, meanwhile, are demanding £50 million for Madueke, despite wanting to offload the player. According to Mail Sport, Chelsea must raise around £60 million in player sales to register new signings for the Champions League, after breaching UEFA financial regulations.

However, Arsenal are unwilling to 'overpay' for Madueke, whom they reportedly see as a backup for Bukayo Saka. Arsenal also have Rodrygo on their shortlist, but Real Madrid are demanding around £90 million for the Brazilian. Arsenal have already agreed personal terms with Noni on a five year deal and would hold talks with Chelsea to potentially complete the deal as revealed by David Ornstein. Meanwhile Chelsea remains attentive to Ethan Nwaneri contract situation with Arsenal and would swoop in if no deal is agreed
