Apple is set to unveil its highly anticipated iPhone 17 series this September, introducing significant camera and design enhancements. The lineup will include four models: the standard iPhone 17, the sleek iPhone 17 Air, and the premium iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. This new addition, the iPhone 17 Air, will replace the previous Plus variant, offering a fresh take on Apple's smartphone offerings.
The official launch date for the iPhone 17 series is yet to be confirmed, but tech analyst David Phelan predicts that the announcement will likely occur around September 9, 2025. As excitement builds, the latest renders reveal intriguing details about the design of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Notable changes include a repositioned Apple logo and a reconfigured MagSafe magnetic ring layout. Reports suggest that the logo will be centered within a new glass section on the rear panel, positioned lower than in previous models.
The iPhone 17 Pro series is expected to feature an aluminum frame and a redesigned camera module that draws inspiration from the iPad Pro. To facilitate wireless charging, a glass panel will be integrated into the aluminum housing, located just below the camera setup.
Camera upgrades are a highlight of the iPhone 17 series, particularly with the introduction of a 24MP front-facing lens—doubling the resolution of the 12MP sensor found in the iPhone 16 models. This enhancement was confirmed by renowned Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier this year. Additionally, analyst Jeff Pu revealed that the iPhone 17 Pro will showcase a revamped rear camera layout, featuring a horizontal triple-lens arrangement that includes a powerful 48MP telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom capabilities.
Regarding pricing, Apple is expected to adhere to its traditional pricing strategy for the standard iPhone models in 2025. Early reports indicate that the iPhone 17 could debut in India at a starting price of approximately ₹89,900, which converts to about GHS 6,600. The newly introduced iPhone 17 Air may launch at around ₹99,900, translating to roughly GHS 7,500. For those looking at higher-end options, the iPhone 17 Pro is anticipated to be priced at ₹1,39,900, equating to approximately GHS 10,500, while the flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max could retail for ₹1,64,900, or about GHS 12,300. However, some analysts suggest that prices may experience a slight increase as the launch date approaches.
