Liverpool continued their perfect start to the Premier League season with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Everton at Anfield in the Merseyside Derby.

The Reds started strongly. In the 10th minute, Ryan Gravenberch opened the scoring after receiving a clever pass from Mohamed Salah. Nineteen minutes later, Gravenberch turned provider, setting up Hugo Ekitike for Liverpool’s second goal. At half-time, Liverpool were 2–0 up and in full control.

Everton, however, came alive in the second half. They pushed forward with more energy and created good chances. Their pressure paid off in the 58th minute, when Idrissa Gana Gueye scored to make it 2–1. From then on, Everton kept attacking and caused Liverpool problems, but they could not find the equalizer.

Liverpool were able to hold on until the final whistle, though many people said they were a bit lucky. This is because Liverpool have been winning a lot of games this season by only one goal. For example, against Arsenal, Dominik Szoboszlai scored a free kick in the last minute to win the match. Against Atlético Madrid, Virgil van Dijk scored a header in stoppage time to give Liverpool the victory.

Even with these narrow wins, the fact is clear: Liverpool are still unbeaten. They have won every single match this season in the Premier League, and they are now at the top of the table.

After the game, some Everton players and fans complained about the referee. They said he was too quick to restart the game and that he only added three minutes of stoppage time. They felt this was not enough time to try for an equalizer, especially since a lot of time had been wasted during

the match. This complain was also reechoed by pundits and even fans from other clubs especially Arsenal who currently seats at second and could have the chance to at least bridge the gap in points if Everton had found an equalizer
